The Good News of Jesus Christ
Jesus -- the only way to the Father!
Have you ever considered where you stand in your relationship with God? If you were standing before God right now, and He asked you, "Why should I let you into My heaven?"how would you respond? It is our intention, through this page, to help you know what that response should be. Further, it is our prayer that God's Spirit will move in your life in such a way that you will be convicted of your need to meet our Savior if you never have. The Good News is that Hope can be found in this seemingly hopeless world. Through Jesus Christ, and Him alone, you can have peace and joy; you can have fulfillment in life; you can have the power to live a life of meaning; and above all else, you can be assured that Somebody really does care.
The Scriptures tell us: Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me".
The Lord Jesus did not come offering an alternative means of having a relationship with God the Father. No, His claim is that He is the only way to have that eternal relationship with God.
While the world view would tell us that this is exclusive and even hard-hearted, to the follower of our Lord Jesus, this proves God's eternal love for us... He gave His only Son as the only means of having a relationship with Him.
The Bible has recorded the words of the Lord Jesus which are the essence of His Gospel, or Good News:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
What must you do to know this Jesus?
Here's additional proof of God's love for us.... He's made it so simple to have that relationship with Him. There is no magic involved and this is not a gimmick to get your attention. You can truly come to know the Lord and receive His gift of salvation if you will follow these steps:
First, we must realize that no one except Jesus has lived a sinless life. We live in willful disobedience to God.
Further, the Scripture affirms our sinful condition:
...For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one. . . ." (Romans 3:10)
Second, the Bible makes it clear that the penalty for sin is death. God is holy and righteous, and as such He cannot look upon sin. Therefore, His punishment for sin is death, or eternal separation from Him.
"For the wages of sin is death . . . ."(Romans 6:23).
"The soul that sinneth, it shall die" (Ezekiel 18:4).
Furthermore, the Bible describes the place of eternal punishment and separation from God. . . . a place called Hell. Jesus said that Hell is a place which was prepared for the devil and his angels (Matthew 25:41). But He also made it clear that it is where those who are outside of a relationship with God will spend eternity.
Third, you must be willing to admit your sinful condition, repent of your sin, and accept God's gift of eternal life --- His Son, Jesus Christ. The second part of Romans 6:23 gives us the hope of eternal life through God's grace. . . . but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. You have to accept God's gift as just that - a gift, which can't be bought or earned.
Romans 10:9, 10 and 13 tell us how to come to God and receive His forgiveness for our sins and His gift of eternal life. We must confess Jesus Christ as Lord. . . . That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified , and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. . . . for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
If you feel in your heart that what you have just read makes sense, then we urge you to pray this simple prayer:
Dear God, I know that Jesus is Your Son and that He died on the cross and was raised from the dead. Because I have sinned and need forgiveness, I ask Jesus to come into my heart. I am willing to change the direction of my life by acknowledging Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and by turning away from my sins. Thank You for giving me forgiveness, eternal life, and hope. In Jesus' name, amen.
If you are unsure about how the Lord is dealing with your heart and you have questions, we would be honored to take the time and discuss this most important of all decisions that you will ever make. Your eternal destiny is so important to God that He gave His only Son so that you would be able to spend eternity with Him. Furthermore, the Bible clearly points us to the Lord's salvation from beginning to end. In fact, the final passage taken from the Revelation contains these words of invitation: The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the Water of Life.
We are still living in the age of grace. God still desires that no one should perish and continues to offer His forgiveness and a new and abundant life through His Son. Now is the accepted time. Don't resist any longer the gentle tug of your heart. Contact us and we'll do everything possible to introduce you to our Lord Jesus!
